Peace is all we need, Peace is all he wants.

He created colors, we created racism

He created Earth, we created global warming

He gave us birth, we learned to kill

He created religions, we created riots

Everything he created, we tried our best to destroy.

Let's do something that he likes, create a better world.

Because, Peace is all we need, Peace is all he wants.

I got an inspiration to write this post after my visit to Jumma Masjid, Ahmedabad.

I entered a mosque for the first time in my life. We had gone there to click pictures. (Luckily) I didn't have a camera so I was just wandering. A regular muslim guy approached me out of curiosity to know where i was from. First he was surprised that belonging to the same city I never visited that mosque. He taught me "Namaaz". I learned entire thing. 

Then he was surprised again when he learned that I was a Hindu. 

Other guys from his group approached me after hearing that. 

Then what came out from a guy's mouth was interesting. 

"Yeh ladnaa to sarkar sikhati hai, humein to doosaron ko haath lagaane mein bhi darr lagta hai. Hamaare gaon mein Hindu log roza rakhte hain, aur hum diwali manaate hain." 

Sounded like a filmy dialogue, but I could see the reality in his eyes. While having a little more conversation, they walked me through entire mosque, a huge, open air, beautiful heritage in the midst of the crowded city.

A peaceful and feel-good heritage walk ended with a group photo. I could feel the song "Maula mere lele meri jaan" from the movie "Chak de".

Memories came alive. Met a few school friends after years. 11 years is what my friend Sneh says.

Connected with them through Facebook, met in a cafe and started the laugh riot on a memory lane for more than 3 hours. Never expected this.

It's really great to see that some friends with whom you spent your childhood with, still don't change. I (Kamaksh), Sneh Bhavsar, Ruchit Surati and Jay Joshi were the lucky ones to be a part of that wonderful evening.

One was married, one was looking to be married, one was confused and the last one was thinking about it.

All four of us were happy to see each other settled in their respective careers. We Shared stories from where we had left it (11 years back). Then recalled some old school stories. Stories of nicknames, punishments, innocent grudges, fights and revenges. Faculties which we still remember by their nicknames became victims again. I bet they were getting hiccups when we took their names.

Nobody remembered what we had in that cafe, but hangover is still there.
